Mr. Paul O’Brien
Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon1996, Graduate of University College Dublin (Medicine) and 1998 Postgraduate of UCD (Masters in Medical Science). Mr O’ Brien became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2000 a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in the UK in 2001. He completed the Irish Higher Surgical Training scheme after working in the Royal Victoria Eye & Ear, Mater, Beaumont, Waterford Regional, St Vincent’s University and Temple Street Children’s University Hospitals. He then subspecialised as a corneal fellow in Moorfields Eye Hospital in London until returning to Ireland in 2007 to commence practice as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in the Blackrock Clinic and Mount Carmel Hospital. He later commenced practice as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in the Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital in Dublin in 2008.

Areas of special interest include, Cataract Surgery, Cornea and External Eye Disease, Laser Refractive Surgery.
